What I collect,
and why.

Most of this site works without you giving me anything. I only receive personal data when you choose to sign in, leave a note, send a message or book a call.

Sign-in
Your name, email and avatar from GitHub or Google, so your guestbook note shows who wrote it. Your email is never shown publicly.

Kept until you ask me to delete it

Session
Your IP address and browser user agent, stored with your session to keep you signed in and to stop abuse.

Expires with the session

Guestbook note
Your message, published publicly with your name, avatar and the date. I may feature notes I love, for example on the homepage.

Public until you delete it

Contact form
The name, email and message you send, delivered to my inbox so I can reply.

Kept in my email

Bookings
Calls are booked through Cal.com, which collects what its form asks for under its own policy.

How I measure
the site.

I use PostHog to see which pages people read and what breaks, served through this site's own domain. It records page views and page exits, errors, loading performance and where a visit came from (for example a search engine or a link's campaign tags).

If you sign in, those events are linked to your name and email so I can tell real visitors from bots. There are no session recordings and no click or keystroke capture, and I don't use Google Analytics or any ad network.

is involved.

A few trusted services do the heavy lifting. Each only gets what it needs for its job.

Vercel
Hosts the site and its servers.
Database
A PostgreSQL database stores accounts, sessions and guestbook notes.
GitHub · Google
Handle sign-in. I never see your password.
PostHog
Analytics, as described above.
Resend
Sends the emails behind the contact form and guestbook notifications.
Discord
Pings me privately when a new note or message arrives.
Cal.com
Runs call bookings.

Cookies and
local storage.

Sign-in cookie
Keeps you signed in. Only set if you sign in.
Analytics
PostHog stores a random ID so repeat visits are counted once.
Preferences
Your light or dark theme and recent searches in the command menu, saved only on your device.

Your data,
your call.

You can delete any guestbook note you wrote yourself, straight from the note. To see, correct or permanently erase everything I hold about you, including your account, email me at hello@aayushbharti.in. I'll handle it within 7 days.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions are welcome at the same address.
